Repair
Outboard Repair, Done Right the First Time
The right mechanic can be the difference between a weekend on the water and a weekend stuck at the dock. It's also the difference between a repair that lasts and one that keeps coming back.
We diagnose the problem accurately and fix it the first time, so you can cast off with confidence. We come to you and work on every major outboard brand, including Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Evinrude and Tohatsu.
Overheating?
Seagrass or debris in the raw-water intake, or a worn water-pump impeller, are the usual suspects. We'll track down the cause and get you back out on the water fast.
Won't start?
Few things are worse than stepping aboard and turning the key to nothing. It could be the battery, fouled plugs, the carburetor or the fuel injection system. Knowing where to look first is what lets us troubleshoot efficiently and keep your bill down.
Running, but not right?
Stalling at idle or cutting out when you throttle up means your motor needs attention. Clogged fuel filters, dirty plugs, loose connections and breaking-down fuel lines are common causes. Intermittent problems can be tricky, but we have the experience to pin them down.
Stiff or loose steering?
Corroded steering cables or low hydraulic fluid make a boat hard to handle, especially in tight marina quarters where precise control matters most. We repair both mechanical and hydraulic steering systems.
Propeller damage?
Fishing line wrapped around the prop shaft can do as much harm as hitting bottom, and the damage isn't always visible. We pull the prop, inspect for hidden damage, lubricate the shaft and replace the prop or pin if needed.
Maintenance
Mobile Outboard Maintenance
Regular maintenance gets you the longest life from your outboard, better fuel economy and a lower cost of ownership over time.
We handle the full range of preventive and scheduled service for every outboard model, and because we come to your boat, staying on schedule is effortless.
After every visit, you get a full report of the work we did and what we found, with photos.
Scheduled Services
50, 100 and 300-hour services performed to the manufacturer's recommendations for your model, so your motor stays dependable for years.
Oil & Filter Changes
Proper lubrication is the single most important thing you can do for your outboard. Fresh oil and clean filters make a real difference in engine life, and we can keep you on a regular schedule.
Spark Plugs
Checking your plugs every 100 hours prevents surprise breakdowns. We inspect them at every service and replace them as needed or as your manufacturer recommends.
Lower Unit Service
Salt water is hard on a lower unit. We inspect and clean for corrosion, change the gear lube and replace anodes as needed. The prop gets pulled, inspected, greased and reinstalled with a new cotter pin.
Steering, Fuel, Trim & Tilt
We check every line for chafing and wear, inspect fittings for leaks and corrosion, change filters and top off fluids across your steering, fuel and trim systems.
